Laylocks Garden Centre in Worcester was able to throw open its doors after the Covid-19 outbreak, allowing it to welcome its customers back to a new 470m² extension to showcase an improved product range. The building was completed early in 2020.
Malcolm Scott achieved planning permission for the UK’s largest garden centre development on behalf of Bents Garden Centre: a project which involved a major extension within the Cheshire Green Belt.
A contemporary link building created at Garsons Esher to connect its farm shop and garden centre has been hailed an immediate success. The development, which was launched in September 2020, has resulted in an improved customer flow, supporting undercover and safe distance shopping, according to centre Chairman Ian Richardson.
In 2020, Scott’s of Southend worked with retail and operations specialists at Malcolm Scott Consultants to develop the centre’s offering following its acquisition of Reads wholesale nursery in 2018 by Scott Bird.
